On Track

The provision of On Track short stay assessment places allow a short period of time to assess the needs of the young person, with particular regard to behaviour support and appropriateeducational support.

The service provision from Positive about Young People, On Track will last for six weeks.

An EIS Specialist Teacher will complete a Personalised Learning Behaviour Profile (PLBP) which will be put into place during the placement at Positive about Young People and followed through on their return to a full time education placement.

How do we do this?

A team of workers from Positive about Young People will design educational motivational packages for each young person targeting individual needs creating a menu of suitable programmes.

We provide students with a wide range of additional educational activities to complement statutory education.  Organised sessions also identify issues with behaviour and anger management and allow young people to develop skills and strategies to control themselves in situations where they may previously have struggled. Individualised educational and support packages are designed for each young person by our staff – targeting identified needs.

Students are referred to the programme with a view to encouraging them to participate in life-enriching opportunities and projects to develop skills that will equip them for their future.

Ensure that the options provided will lead toward positive destinations i.e. getting young people on track.
